I welcome your stickiness. This idea is not new to the forum. Go and search the threads. We have an active agenda of sending the faxes, writing LTEs, follwoing up senators and their offices after discussions, writing to news anchors, talking heads etc.

Called up Sen Casey's office and I was told that in the local office they cant do much about a mass enquiry but he volunteered to do it on a personal basis for my case in particular.

I just sent a check of $100 via online bill payment to IV. I've also set up recurring contribution checks of $25 every month beginning June. I am not sure if I should be happy or sad with this news. I was laidoff recently and had applied for I-485 on July 17,2007 i.e. current processing date for TSC. Also with this bulletin I will be current (EB2 2006). I have not found a new job yet and my company has told me that they will be revoking my I-140 after 30 days. My company lawyers are not advising me much citing conflict of interest.
What options do I have? Will sending a new G-28 form at this time raise any issues that I do not have job with original employer as my PD is current and it is quite possible that my case maybe adjudicated. In the meantime if I do not sent new G-28 form I am not sure how much my company attorney will co-operate

But I think franklin posted earlier that she got her GC when the priority dates are not current. And shows about 5 EB3s from India got approvals during September whos PDs are on or after 2003.Do you think USCIS might have requested the visa number for their cases when their PD was current?

Priority Date to 2006 to me is like a flashlight in the middle of the tunnel. Whether battery will run out (retrogression again) before USCIS acting on my file is a miilion $ question.
Let us hope for the best.

i just returned from an infopass meeting... the guy i talked to said that they recently have a directive from the DHS/USCIS that they want to separate the legal stuff from the illegal stuff and hence they are planning to adjudicate a record number of EB apps in the next quarter or two... does anyone else concur? is this true or were my ears just ringing in that meeting?

I know this is not the Forum to discuss this matter.
But I hope this should answer some questions
1. Home Loans if the Loan is taken from a US Bank/Mortgage lender
then it is Tax deductible because they send out a 1040 at the end of Tax year.
2. But if the Home Loan is taken from a a NON-US Bank, then it is not Tax deductible in the US. As they do not send out a 1040.
I am not sure thats correct.
Per IRS regulation Section 163 (C), as well as Publication 936, interest paid on primary and secondary residences up to an aggregate one million dollars in loan amount is tax deductible. The IRS regulation does not specify that the home must be located in the United States, and thus it seems logical that interest paid on a home loan on property in India is in fact deductible
(please consult your tax advisor for applicability to your specific tax situation).
But I hope this should answer some questions
