Hi My wife's H4b status is valid till 6th sept. Now she has her h1b approved on 3rd july. Her employer states that the approved petition has some clause that she has to leave the country and come back with h1 on nov 1st. Both the employer and myself are not comfortable doing that.
Her employer suggesting for h1b renewal under premium process so that i might get receipt in few weeks and also says that he would reapply for H1 wiht the receipt for the approval.
Please suggest me the best possible way ...

The I-131 Form update date shown by NSC is 10/18, whereas many of the folks are still awaiting their AP's...and even Texas says I-131 processing date current....So how come majority of them still waiting for AP ??

I have worked for Company "A"(Ex-employer) under H1-B(company A holding my H1-b) from 2007-2010. During 2009 & 2010, company A was unable to clear all my payments as the company went through some financial hurdles but they issued W-2 for the amount paid in fiscal year 2009. Now, company A has got money and they decided to clear my back wages for 2009-2010 through 1099 form. I transferred my H1-B visa to Company B(2010) then to Company C(current employer). Now, Company C has started my Green card(GC) process.
Questions:
1. I already received W2 for 2009. Can company A amend the W2 for the back wages?
2. Is it legal to take the unpaid amount under 1099? Will it affect my GC process?
3. What are my options to get my back wages from company A?
4. Company A want to issue 1099 along with a letter stating that i was full time employee for the time period mentioned in 1099. Is it acceptable?
I really appreciate your help for taking your valuable time in clarifying my questions. I look forward for your reply.

Hello. I am playing around with making a little app that allows me to draw a polygon shape and then determine how many rectangles can fit inside that shape. The rectangles only have two widths, but can be as long as needed.
It occurred to me that I might somehow be able to have that polygon shape act like a wrap panel and the rectangles inside would self-adjust based on the space provided. Two questions:
1) Is it possible to make a wrap panel with custom borders (not just rectangular)?
2) Is there an equivalent component, to the wrap panel, in Flash? If so, can that component have custom borders?

Hi all,
I am going to US this year December. I also took Tickets for my Travel with the same name as in Passport. And in my Passport, my Surname & Firstname are completely mensioned. But my name in all my certificates is in short form like ( S H V My Name). Will this cause any problem in future if I apply for H1B??

Currently my 485 is pending over 1.5 years with I-140 approval (2007). I was laid-off. I have valid EAD card. Am I eligible to transfer to a TARP company for a similar position but in different state? Is there any specific policy or limitation for this work status? The company's HR couldn't make a decision. What should I do? Thank you very much for your kind and generous help.

I am a July filer and have the option of working for a reputable company as expert consultant for 6 months (initial offer). Yates memo indicates that self-employment is possible. Here is my question: Do we need to register a company to be considered self-employed? As a consultant you may not have a customer for while. Isn't it better to register a company if you want to claim self employment? What are the pros and cons of registering a company?

I am stuck out side of US for my name check for last 9 months. I have approved I 140. is there any way I can file my I 1485 and Advance parole or any thing to get back into US.
Some one has told me that I can use consular processing but have no idea about that.

Lots of activity to report. Congressional Hispanic Caucus leaders met this week with President Obama who said he wants a vote during the Lame Duck and would work the phones to round up votes. Harry Reid tweeted today that he'll offer the DREAM Act as a standalone bill which will hopefully help bring along a few of the "procedural" no voters from last September who indicated they like the DREAM Act but didn't believe in tacking it on to a budget bill. Has anyone seen this pattern before for any service center? A "processing times" entry missing? Could this be just an accident, or are they sending the I-140's to another service center? This could mean a LOT to people who sent their I-140's and I-485's concurrently to TSC.
