Thanks for the reply. I hope that this time it gets approved. I think the best approach to this is to show the timeline of your petition and I-485, with accompanying evidence for each point in time.
I guess that the supervisor of the IO processing your case did not even bother to review the MTR. As I understand (correct me if wrong), MTRs go to the same IO who denied your case but it has to be reviewed and approved by the Supervisor.

I was able to convince a friend, who has been a green card holder for the past 5-6 years & never suffered the green card retrogression, to support us & contribute to our cause. Made a one time payment of 100$ through paypal.

I can organize weekly Conf. call, but I would need some initial input from IV Core Team about its activities. I also need to understand what were SoCal chapter targets and if any progress has been made. Maybe 485Mb4001 or Amit can guide on this?

pls take the lead yourself for thiis chapter. Jimmi_hendrix will be no longer leading this chapter. We need someone to lead this effort. If anyone else wants to come forward pls. do so and take charge. Communicate with the northern CA foks and organize a combined call or seperate call. We need someone to take a leadership role in this chapter at this time. Contact each and every member in this thread and bring them together to work on IV agenda items as outliined on the link on IV homepage for chapters.

IV would like to submit op-ed articles written by IV members to various newspapers and websites . It maybe one more avenue for us to get our voices heard and generate awareness for our cause.
We would like to invite members who have good writing skills and can volunteer to write a few op-ed pieces for us. The information material is available on the resources section of the IV website. Let us know if you need any further information.I feel it should be as long as the yahoo news op-eds
You can choose to either bring out the human angle/statistical analysis/legislative issue/contributions by immigrants/or a combination of all. It depends on what you are most comfortable with and if you have a particular educational qualification/skill/job experience/family experience due to long GC wait you can choose to add that.

It is really tricky to come up with a deadline for EB employment. US is set of laws and the law is same for every one it applies. for example:If you not from a retrogressed country you will get your GC even if you start now (before enactment of this bill).
Please know the difference between bill and law. If ever this particular bill becomes law the deadline for any cases filed under previous law will not be rejected, this is as clear as mud, to make the law same for all who applied/pending /approved on the day of enactment!!.:eek:
You can refer to other lawyer's interpretations of the bill and also ask your own lawyer for more information and to better understand the harm this bill does to us.

For all those people who are gun shy, let me assure you, it does not harm anybody. On the contrary it is helpful to all of us. Please consider pulling the trigger. The fund drive that is happening today is not the last drive; as long as we are active, their will always be fund drives. Maybe you are thinking of contributing after seeing the effects/results of Sept 18th. In that case, I urge you to contribute now to get the maximum bang for your buck. Think about the Macy�s firework in New York. It will be rather boring to see them light one fire work each night during the month of July, just because funds did not arrive in time or were slow to arrive. Sept 18th is our 4th of July. Please make your contributions esp. if this is your first time. Contribute so IV can pay for all the items in their list and make this firework really bright.
